Suspected dislocated Shoulder
Tuesday, 29th December 2009
A call came into base from a local charter boat skipper reporting a 50 year old guest had sustained a possible dislocated shoulder and they were en route to Tortola. VISAR personnel took all details and advised them to continue to either the Government Dock or a local private dock. They were advised that if during the trip the patient felt unable to continue in the charter vessel to call again and VISAR would launch. Patient felt OK to continue but requested an Ambulance to meet them. VISAR personnel confirmed the Dock and requested an ambulance. The vessel docked at approx 1255 and was met by an ambulance from Peebles Hospital.
