US Coast Guard called into the VISAR Administrator to find out if VISR had, had a report of an upturned vessel at Virgin Gorda. The coordinator advised that this was probably the same vessel and to inform VISAR VG. Gorda Peak crew went to the coordinates supplied by the USCG and found a ‘fishing boat’ approx 17 foot, white, with no markings or debris. No persons in or around the boat. The vessel was submerged except for its bow and it appeared to be floating towards the US Virgin Islands. The VISAR President informed the Marine Police who then took over, due to the vessel being a hazard to other boaters.
