A motor vessel called in to report an upturned vessel in the vicinity of Scrub Island. The reporting vessel was asked to check for ‘persons in the water’ and distinguishing marking on the vessel, of which there were none. The coordinator arranged for an auxiliary boat to check for the vessel at the submitted coordinates. After an hour of searching from the Dogs to Camino, the auxiliary vessel reported “no sighting”. Coordinator reported to the Marine Police and local salvage company. VISAR stood down.
