A report of persons in the water at Salt Island was reported. BVI Marine Police vessel St. Ursula and a US Coast Guard Helicopter were conducting the initial search. Due to the harbour the ‘persons’ were in, access by sea was extremely limited. Two VISAR crew members and two Police Officers hiked over the hill and located the deceased, still in the Water. After making a formal statement to the BVI Marine Police, the area was then closed as a crime scene and VISAR responders then stood down and returned to base.
