Time of Call" 1300, Time of Launch: Spirit on Excercises
USCG reported a floating dinghy and requested VISAR to check for persons onboard. The dinghy was empty but running. The decision to catch it was made rather than let it run out of fuel, as there was a posibility of it running into snorkellers or other vessels. The dinghy was returned and Spirit continued the crew training excercise.
