VISAR Governors reception.

His Excellency the Governor will be hosting the Annual VISAR Reception at Goverment House in Road Town on Friday April 18th at 6pm. Drinks and Canapes will be served on the Terrace ahead of the Date or No Date auction. VISAR Models will be representing various high end auction Items that guests will be able to bid on or if they choose they can opt for a date with one of the VISAR Models!!

Tickets are priced at $45 and are available from the VISAR Base, TMM Yacht Charters, any VISAR Responder or by calling 494 4357.

VALENTINE'S DAY CAR RAFFLE - Congratulations

Congratulations to Goldie Gumbs of West End who was the winner of the 2007 Mitsubishi Lancer. Goldie received the news live on the ZROD FM Morning Show, when DJ Dre called her with the news. Miss BVI Miss Leliani Stevens made the draw in the studio and announced that Miss Gumbs had won. The draw raised over $15,000 for VISAR. VISAR would like to thank Tola Mitsubishi for supplying the Lancer., ZROD FM & Leliani Stevens for hosting the draw and every body who bought and sold tickets.

Much of the money raised by VISAR throughout the year comes from events which the dedicated fund raising committee organize. Events take place throughout the year on both Tortola and Virgin Gorda. If you are in the BVI, we very much hope to see you at our events.

Many people who have been assisted by VISAR's volunteers take the time to write a letter and to send a donation to mark their gratitude for the services which we provide. Our volunteers meet each Monday evening, and all letters of thanks are read out to the crew during the meeting - the thought is very much appreciated.

VISAR produces a newsletter called "LifeLine" twice a year. This publication gives members, supporters and members of the public easy access to current information about VISAR's activities, our shouts, support VISAR has received, forthcoming events and general information relevant to the search & rescue world of which we form a part. All members receive a copy of Lifeline in the post. Feel free to download past editions of Lifeline.

Person in need of medical attention at The Caves,Norman Island.

Casualty reported breathing difficulty whilst Snorkelling.

Spirit of Tortola II was launched and casualty was transported to Peebles Hospital for further care.
